Inspired by pictures (that are slowly being fed to me by versaphile via livejournal) of Paul McGann in some historic show, I give you this.
Took me a good three and a half hours, this did. Done on Photoshop with the oh-so-loverly paintbrush, air brush, smudge and erasor tool. I WISH there was a keyboard shortcut for every color...So much clicking on swatches and adjusting them *head spins*
I think I got the proportions right, and I've managed to capture Paul McGann's gorgeous eyes rather well. It looks like him now *runs off with picture* despite a shaky start.
Please comment...*shifty eyes* Or the pie will eat you...
OMFG... I thought this was a PHOTO at first. I was reading through your description and when it said you did this in Photoshop I was like "Huh? Did what in Photoshop?..." and then I CLICKED. o___O Wowowowowowowow! This looks so realistic and great!!! *in awe* You did SUCH an awesome job, you should feel really proud. And his eyes ARE pretty!!

you wanted from this life, even so?
I did.
And what did you want?
To call myself beloved, to feel myself
beloved on the earth."
